Size wise it is about the length from the left side of the TX-500 to the right edge of the display and about an inch longer than from the bottom of the tx-500 to the top and approx the same thickness. The case is extruded aluminium and the parts mount on a nice circuit board so it appears it should be rugged.

The Lab599 team provide a pre-wired GX12 connector with bare red and black leads that you will want to throw Andersons on. (as if we don't already do this with every new radio already) This being my first QRP radio, I wanted to change up my portable field power options and take advantage of the radio's 3A draw.

Lab599’s documentation shows a 10uF cap on the data cable. The audio interfaces I have from ZLP Electronics and XGGcomms already have isolated audio circuits. Is this 10uF cap protecting the audio chipset in the TX-500 from stray RF? ... The amp is a MX-P50A with manual band switching (gives about 40W output).

we really like the Discovery TX-500 Transceiver from Lab599. The PA500 is basicly made for the TX-500 but it will work nicly with other Radios as well. The thickness of the PA500 is just 30mm and allows you to operate from anywhere you like.

Totally agree with Kevin K3OX - Lab599 releases new versions a bit too fast. I also work in a software team and even if a customer asks for an enhancement that sounds useful and easy to implement, we Sorry to hear about the delay, Stephan.
The TX is a solid-feeling piece of equipment that feels good in the hand and looks even cooler in person. The retail packaging was impressive and the product documentation is excellent and well written. I feel obligated to let people know about this radio.

Batch two and three will follow rather quickly but we still wait confirmation on more exact delivery dates for those dates.
