Laguna Yachts. 1973 - 1986. Founded by Bill Downing. It is believed that some time after 1984, the company renamed the WINDROSE line to Laguna. (most of the Lagunas seem very similar to the Windroses) As best as we can tell, Laguna purchased Coastal Recreation, builder of Balboas and the Aquarius line.

The equation incorporates SA/Disp (100% fore triangle) and Disp/length ratios to create a guide to probable boat performance vs. other boats of comparable size. For boats of the same length, generally the higher the S#, the lower the PHRF.
