LaisDcc DCC decoder assessment and experiences. I still have a large stud of unchipped Hornby and Bachmann locos, including some with Triang X04s, that I am keen to retain. However, chipping them with my 'standard' Lenz silver is going to run to hundreds of pounds, and I am still looking for a source of reasonable low-cost chips.

Oct 18, 2019 . I bought an LaisDcc decoder to have a go at chipping an old Farish N gauge loco, it arrived yesterday so I put it in another loco to test. JMRI revognised it without problems and it seemed to work fine. Hi and congrats for the project. I built and flashed the latest version (as of today) on an Esp32 Evaluation board. I then hopefully figured out how to use my H-bridge (a classic L298) and connected a LaisDcc decoder directly to the H-bridge output, and in turn a 12V a LED on the decoder motor output.
