Here is your Ultimate How to Use Lampe Berger Guide: How to set up a Lampe Berger lamp: Fill the lamp 2/3 full with Lampe Berger fragrance oil. Insert the wick firmly into the lamp pressing down on the metal ring. If the wick is completely dry, let the lamp sit with the cap on for 20 minutes so the wick can soak up the oil.
1. Fill up the lamp bottle with a Lampe Berger fragrance not more than 2/3 of the bottle level. 2. Let the wick sit in the lamp with the stopper cap on. If it's a first time use, let the wick soak for 20 minutes.
After 2 minutes and blow out the flame. After 20 minutes carefully remove the vented cap (it can get hot) and put the solid cap on to stop the lamp. The fragrance will continue to linger for a few more hours. Only let the Lampe Berger to burn for 20 minutes.
If your burner becomes dark and doesn't seem to work, you may need to clean your catalytic burner. Using Neutral oil in your Lampe Berger lamp, light your burner and let the flame stay lit for a while. This should burn off some of the soot that accumulated on your burner.
Lampe Berger Fragrance Lamp Usage Instructions and Tips Fill your fragrance lamp with your favorite fragrance oil. Make sure to not overfill the lamp. Insert your catalytic burner and wick securely into your fragrance lamp. If this is your burner's first use, let the wick soak up the fragrance oil for about 20 minutes before lighting your lamp.
In the beginning, the Lampe Berger was only intended to clean the air of hospitals and eliminate germs. Over the years, the perfume dimension has been added to this use. The diffused odor became more pleasant allowing the catalytic lamp to become more popular amongst households.
There is too much oil in the lamp (it can't be more than 2/3 full with oil). The wick is old and needs to be replaced (see notes above about the wick). The wick needs air to work (see notes above about the wick). There is, or was, something other than Lampe Berger oil in the lamp (see notes above about fragrance oil).
Can the Lampe Berger be left permanently on? For optimal use, your Lampe Berger should remain lit for 30 minutes for a 12m² (40 cubic feet) room. Look after your item to properly enjoy your Lampe Berger by watching the tutorial!
