Newborn lambs need to be fed every 2-3 hours for the first two weeks of life (the night feeds can be stretched to 4 or 5 hours) and then every 4 hours for the next few weeks, depending on how well they are doing. Divide up the total recommended milk amount per day and aim to match your feeds to this total.

Avoid watering the top of the plants; the leaves will rot or develop fungal leaf spots or powdery mildew if they get too wet.

Lambing jugs should be clean, dry, and well-bedded. If feasible, jugs should be cleaned between ewes. Having one lambing jug per 7 to 10 ewes in the flock is usually adequate. More may be needed is lambing is closely spaced. Feed troughs and water buckets should be suspended out of reach of lambs.

Use in a prehospital (i.e., by EMS providers) or triage setting for patients with stroke symptoms. The LAMS is a validated 3-item prehospital scoring tool derived from the motor exam components of the Los Angeles Prehospital Stroke Screen (LAPSS). It was designed to rapidly quantify stroke severity in the prehospital setting.
Providers can improve access to LAMS by developing the capacity to administer LAMS themselves based on their trusting relationship with the patient, hiring trained nurses to administer LAMS or training their own nursing staff in the safe and effective administration of LAMS.
Inform the patient that the frequency of injections is once per month or less and compare this experience to taking a vitamin B-12 or Depo-Provera (for female birth control) injection and ask for questions. Directly recommend starting a LAM based on your belief that it will be the most effective treatment approach.
The LAMS is not a substitute for a full neurologic exam or NIHSS assessment by a stroke specialist. It is a screening tool to assist with transport and triage decisions in the prehospital environment.
Feeding an Orphaned Lamb Get the lamb some colostrum. As soon as a lamb is born, it should drink a large amount of colostrum, which is the first milk that comes from mother sheep after birth. Teach the lamb to drink from a bottle. Have the lamb stand up with its head up. Feed the lamb milk replacement.
Raising Lambs: How much Milk to Feed your Orphan Lamb. If you are not able to foster you will have to hand-rear. Your lamb will need to be fed 140 ml every 4 hours. Hold the lamb's head up and feed from above its head and let the milk drip down into the teat.
Raising an orphaned lamb can be a fun learning experience. You get to watch an animal grow and develop due to your efforts. However, it is also a lot of responsibility. You will be responsible for every part of their care, including feeding it, caring for its health, and making sure that it has all of its other needs met.
As the lamb is smaller than the other one, you might consider feeding it every two hours, because it has to catch up. As long as the lamb gets enough warm milk to drink at regular hours it's ok.
