The Lancair appears to be pretty much a "glue pre-fabricated pieces" process as opposed to actually forming parts from sheet stock, welding, riveting, building ribs from sticks / gussets, etc. On the other hand, I would suspect that the "systems" in a Lancair would typically be much more complex than most "traditional" homebuilts.
