The overall best rotary laser level in our roundup was the RL-H4C from Topcon. At a very reasonable price, this level offered essential performance features including self-leveling within 5°, an accuracy of 1/16-inch at 100 feet, and a huge range of 2,600 feet with the included receiver.
A rotary laser level is a more advanced laser level in that it spins the beam of light fast enough to give the effect of a complete 360 degree horizontal or vertical plane, thus illuminating not just a fixed line, but a horizontal plane. The laser beam projector employs a rotating head with a mirror for sweeping the laser beam about a vertical axis.
Press the Key ON/OFF again to close down the instrument when power indicator goes out. Press the Key ON/OFF to bring automatic leveling into function when the laser beam begins to wink. After automatic leveling, the laser module will rotate right at the speed of 600r.p.m.
Method 1: Place the unit in the middle of the two points (A and B) to get a higher distance. Method 2: Place the unit at one point (A) and locate the other point (B). On the LMH600, you may first press Variable Rotation button and set the laser to the desired rotation speed.
Please note, the laser head may begin to rotate before leveling is complete. The self-leveling speed is approxi- mately 1° per 4 seconds. 3: After self-leveling, the laser head will rotate at 600 RPM. Press the Power button again to turn the unit off.
