The LattePanda is a full Windows 10 compatible single board computer based on the Intel Cherry Trail CPU. The LattePanda is one of a kind featuring a very powerful hardware setup with the built-in ATmega32u4 microcontroller. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one thanks to DFRobot and LattePanda.
One of the best features about the LattePanda is that it can be powered from a MicroUSB power cable. Other boards or similar boards require a DC adapter with a barrel jack to power the board.
But not only can it be used as a low cost regular Windows computer, LattePanda is also designed with an Arduino compatible co-processor, which means it can be used to control and sense the physical world, just like an Arduino board!
The LattePanda has 12 analog inputs, labeled A0 through A11, all of which can also be used as digital I/O. Each pin has a 10 bit resolution (i.e. 1024 different values). By default they measure from ground to 5 volts.
LattePanda comes pre-installed with a pre-activated full edition of Windows 10. Using existing APIs, you can develop your own software and hardware projects on LattePanda as you would on a normal PC with C#, Javascript, Ruby and so on. Say goodbye to your bulky laptop!
The LattePanda also has an Arduino Leonardo built on-board, which means you can load the EZB Firmware and have a self contained and very capable PC robot controller. This firmware works with ARC versions greater or equal to 2019.06.25.00.
The LattePanda can run Windows 10 and therefore, a full version of ARC! The LattePanda also has an Arduino Leonardo built on-board, which means you can load the EZB Firmware and have a self contained and very capable PC robot controller.
Select the COM port that your Arduino is communicating on. I have used a 10k potentiometer to give an analog input. I have connected it to the LattePanda’s 3 pin analog interface on digital pin 11. (This three pin interface also gives me convenient power and ground rails!)
