The Lavatools Javelin was previously our runner-upwards choice, simply after some consideration nosotros concluded that it didn't hold a candle to the ThermoWorks ThermoPop in terms of the almost useful features. The Javelin has a notably shorter probe, and it's not as waterproof as the ThermoPop. Also, its display does not rotate or lite up.

Lavatools’ preferred contact method is by email ( customerservice@Lavatools.com ), which I think is fine — as long as someone responds to you. But taking your thermometer back followed by weeks of silence is unacceptable. I contacted Lavatools to find out the status of your Javelin Pro thermometer.
But someone at the company led you to believe they would fix your thermometer and they’ve now made good on that. Q: My Lavatools Javelin Pro cooking thermometer stopped functioning recently because of moisture in the unit. It has a lifetime warranty. I returned the thermometer to Lavatools with a prepaid shipping label.
The WORST part is the lack of support from Lavatools. One of the main bullet points in the item description is a lifetime warranty however I have been unable to get Lavatools to respond to multiple warranty inquiries.
