hi.. take back off and remove battery. on the left side opposite probe, there is a very tiny slide switch. you can see F - C. very carefully slide switch to C. you can also go to Lavatools thermowand and they have an owners manuel that you can read. hahaha. it came with no instructions.. but they're on the web.. hope this helps.

I’ve published the names, numbers and email addresses of the Lavatools executives on my nonprofit consumer-advocacy site. Lavatools’ preferred contact method is by email ( customerservice@Lavatools.com ), which I think is fine — as long as someone responds to you.
But someone at the company led you to believe they would fix your thermometer and they’ve now made good on that. Q: My Lavatools Javelin Pro cooking thermometer stopped functioning recently because of moisture in the unit. It has a lifetime warranty. I returned the thermometer to Lavatools with a prepaid shipping label.
Unless, of course, someone at Lavatools told you the thermometer would be covered under its warranty. If that’s the case, then Lavatools should honor its word. As I review the paper trail between you and the company, it looks like someone at the company may have left you with the incorrect impression that the warranty covered your thermometer.
