Looks like it uses about the same amount of material, but because of the spreader bars, the fabric doesn’t fold up around you like in a gathered end hammock. The Lawson BRCH does not have any really “tight” spots to induce cramping.

Like Lawson, Hennessy is known for producing quality, affordable camping hammocks for backpackers and adventures. The Blue Ridge Hammock’s closest competitor is probably the Ultralight Hennessy Hammock. That said, they are very different camping hammocks intended for different applications.
At $199, the Blue Ridge camping hammock is neither dirt cheap nor a total bank breaker. Add in $35 for the straps and the Blue Ridge hammock costs about the same as the Hennessey Hammock or a decent 2-person backpacking tent.
A waterproof, bug-proof camping hammock is your ideal sleep system. The Lawson Blue Ridge camping hammock is certainly one of the best camping hammocks out there. That said, it is not ideal for everyone.
