The Lea™ measures 22 Leadership behaviors grouped into six core functions, creating a uniquely insightful profile that provides a nuanced and scientifically sophisticated development tool.
By embracing individual Leadership styles and placing them within the context of your organizational environment, the Lea™ stimulates individual and team growth through insights that are accurate, encouraging, and actionable. With individual, multi-rater and organizational impact versions of the assessment, the Lea™ Suite will help you:
The first step to having a superior project is understanding and accepting that Lean and design-build is right for your project. If each team member is on board, collaborating and willing to accept that there is a need to change, the five principles will fall in line with your team.
Utilizing Lean concepts equates to continuously improving a project’s flow. The Design-Build Done Right Way: Streamlining the workflow directly influences the schedule, which forces each activity to find a flow. Where there is waste in an activity, the flow will be off, change can be made, and the activity’s flow improves.
They will guide you through the design, planning and construction process whether you are constructing a new building or adapting an existing property. Architects apply impartial and creative thinking to projects large and small.
To find the right architect for you, you’ll have to do some homework. Home design magazines and their websites enable you to view architects’ work and often provide insight into the architects’ general approach to projects as well as their contact information.
Plan on interviewing several architects before settling on one. At your first meeting, you can expect to talk about ideas you have for the project, your budget, and timetable. You’ll want to walk out with a good “feel” for whether you can work with this person, because you’ll be spending a lot of time together as your project progresses.
Each Code of Conduct is state-based, so if you have concerns about your architect, check with the local Board of Architects in your state. The NSW Registration Board of Architects published an information paper in 2011 based on complaints they’d been receiving on this very issue.
