    Pack your Lechuza containers with jute, felt or fleece fabrics, straw, reed or coconut mats to protect the roots from excessive temperature fluctuations. A dry layer of leaves, straw, fir twigs or mulch slices made of coconut fibres protect the plants from drying out and keep away rain. Make sure to use only air-permeable materials when covering.

    The unique sub-irrigation system, that can be used instantly without any prior gardening expertise, offers just the right amount of water and nutrients to optimize plant growth. Lechuza® planters are available for both indoor and outdoor and come along with smart and comprehensive accessories.

    Also included with this planter is Lechuza’s specially-formulated plant substrate, Lechuza PON which separates your potting soil from the water reservoir, aerates the roots, provides your plants with nutrition and helps regulate the water supplied to your plant.

  • How do you plant a Lechuza plant?

    Planting Cover the separator with the supplied Lechuza- PON substrate. Set the plant and Lechuza-PON in the planter and fill the planter with soil. Growing-in phase Over the next 12 weeks* continue to water the plant as you normally would, pouring water “onto” it from above.

  • How to use Lechuza-Pon planting system?

    Simply place the plant with Lechuza-PON in the planter liner or directly in the planter. After the growing-in phase, your plant will receive all the water it needs from the reservoir. Planting Cover the separator with the supplied Lechuza- PON substrate.

  • What is Lechuza-Pon indicator made of?

    The water level indicator is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polypropylene (PP). The transparent scale indicator is not made of glass, it is manufactured from polycarbonate (PC). What is Lechuza-PON? Lechuza-PON is the plant substrate from Lechuza for house and pot plants.

  • How do irrigation systems work?

    The water reservoir in our irrigation system is easy to fill from the outside. The water level indicator always keeps you informed of the amount of water in the planter.
