Leclerc Looms – Tracing its history to 1874, Leclerc produces weaving looms in Canada. Their offering includes rigid heddle looms, table looms, floor looms and a several specialty looms.
The Leclerc Artisat is a 36" jack loom with four shafts. The entire loom is wider than 36," but the reed itself is 36." You can find the manual here. The manual mainly shows how to put the loom together, rather than how to use it, but you can figure out how to use the loom with books and online resources and I'll mention some that I used below.
The Leclerc Dorothy is a portable table loom in good condition. The loom has the extended frame bars that allows up to 3 x 4 shaft castles to be installed (2 castles are installed but a third can be added for an additional cost). (Click on picture to enlarge)
This Leclerc Nilus is a late model 8 shaft jack loom with the latest version of the Leclerc friction brake. It has Back-Hinge Treadles making it as easy to treadle as a 4 shaft Counterbalance loom and is in excellent "almost new" condition. Historically, the "Nilus" model loom was the first of the two models to be introduced by Leclerc. It is a 4 shaft jack type loom upgradable to 8 shafts. The "Nilus" loom is the smaller and more compact and is equiped with 10½" hed- dles.
All looms are equipped with a regular plain beam to which a set of rake-like pieces can be added to convert it into a sectional warp beam.
