However, the Smart Functionality is a bit more extensive than that of the Levoit LV-PUR131, and as a result of this, the overall experience with the air purifier will be a bit easier and more efficient.
The big Smart Functionality addition is the use of the VeSync app, and this app allows you to connect your smartphone to the Levoit LV-PUR131S, through Wi-Fi, and then to adjust the fan speeds, activate the LED display, or turn it off, as well as having the ability to turn the air purifier on or off, as well.
With a timer, you can leave the room knowing that the air purifier will shut down on its own after its time is up. This feature can be useful if you want to limit the air purifier to work for a specific time. The device has a filter reset indicator that will light up when it is time to replace the filter.
The LV-PUR131S removes those types of contaminants from your indoor air through a three-stage air filtration system. The pre-filter is attached to the True HEPA filter and the Activated Carbon filter is a completely separate filter. The recommended interval of replacing these filters is ever 6 months depending on use.
This machine is also relatively light to handle and can easily be carried from room to room. The most important feature to point about the Levoit LV-PUR131S is that it’s a smart enabled air purifier. This means you can control every aspect of it from a mobile device or tablet as long as you’re connected to WiFi.
VeSync’s Smart Scenes feature allows users to program the air purifier to automatically respond to surrounding conditions, such as a specific air quality at which the Core 400S will turn on/off, start Auto Mode, or adjust fan speeds. Users can even connect the air purifier to Google Assistant™ and Amazon Alexa for hands-free control.
With the Levoit LV-PUR131S you’re going to get up to 322 square feet (sq. ft.) of coverage. That makes this unit ideal for most medium size rooms. For example, a room that is 16 feet by 20 feet would be a perfect match (16 x 20 = 320 sq. ft.).
