Anyone who uses the Internet knows MACROMEDIA, Inc.'s products well, if not necessarily by name. MACROMEDIA's Flash, Shockwave, FreeHand, Director, and other software have helped to define multimedia content, applications, and interactivity on the Web.
MACROMEDIA originated in the 1992 merger of Authorware Inc. (makers of Authorware) and MacroMind–Paracomp (makers of Macromind Director ). Director, an interactive multimedia-authoring tool used to make presentations, animations, CD-ROMs, and information kiosks, served as MACROMEDIA's flagship product until the mid-1990s.
Web developers depend on MACROMEDIA's suite of Web design, development, and media player products to design and deliver compelling, interactive content on the Internet. The company also strives to promote the Web as a premiere media content provider.
MACROMEDIA's Universal Media Initiative launched in October 1998 was designed to increase the usability of its software in Web environments. The Initiative's goal was to adapt the multimedia authoring tools such as Shockwave and Flash to Web standards such as Java and Dynamic HTML.
Chapter 1:Getting Started 1.1 About MacroModel MacroModel 9.9 is a general purpose, force-field-based molecular modeling program with applicability to a wide range of chemical systems. MacroModel provides multiple advanced methods to aid in the understanding of chemical structure, energetics, and dynamics.
A micromodel uses the actual transistor level and other SPICE models of an IC device, with all active and passive parts fully characterized according to the manufacturing process. In differentiating this type of model from a macromodel, some authors use the term device level model to describe the resulting overall op amp model (see Reference 5 ).
The macromodel is made-up of one composite material consisting of three component materials: reinforced fiber, matrix, and fiber–matrix interface. Table 3 shows the mechanical properties of the materials used in the micromodel.
