Each class of logger has a unique device type and identifies itself when queried by the host computer. Therefore, only one software package and manual are required for all MadgeTech data loggers. In certain instances where differences occur, this manual will answer potential questions and provide clarification.
The MadgeTech 4 Data Logger Software is designed to streamline the process of downloading data and reviewing it. The software automatically configures itself specifically to each class of logger by reading the device type with the ability to change engineering units (dependent upon specific data logger models), conforming to the needs of its user.
To install the MadgeTech software from a flash drive: 1. To begin installation, insert the flash drive labeled MadgeTech Data Logger Software Version 4.X.X into an available USB port. After a few moments an AutoPlay box will open. (shown right) 2. In the AutoPlay box, click Open folder to view files to view the contents of the flash drive.
