Jun 19, 2016 . It was a fairly windy day, and the Madstad handled it very well. Up to 85 mph, the new windscreen had roughly 70% less wind noise and buffeting than the factory windscreen. Overall, I would say the MadStad Engineering windscreen is a fantastic value. It is a straightforward install, and works as advertised.

Aug 31, 2012 . No clearance problems even at full lock: it's narrower than the "big" screen. Even if you don't have a Madstad it shouldn't be a problem. Mark Lawrence, who designs these screens, is a research physicist and V-Strom owner. He usually tests 6-12 designs so it's well sorted out. The airflow is very "clean."

May 03, 2013 . Since I’m 5’11”, MadStad owner Mark Stadnyk recommended a 13″ shield. Mark suggests the 13″ shield if you are less than 6 feet tall and the 16″ shield if you are over 6 feet. This system really works! MadStad Engineering has windshield systems for over 70 different makes and models. Mark is working on a system for Harley batwing fairings and it should be ready soon. If you are tired of getting buffeted around, I would recommend that you take a close look at the MadStad Windshield System.
The Madstad bracket system, with a Madstad windshield or with windshields from other vendors, has a decent following among Victory riders. On the other hand, there are also some who feel that those same brackets are too ugly to mount on their bikes.
The MADSTAD windshield comes with mounting hardware. The bolts have a rubber washer on either side of the windshield and they screw into rubber well nuts in the MADSTAD brackets. Installing the system on the V-Strom 1000 ABS is very easy.
