  The first test to perform with a no go before a frontal assault on the magneto is to determine if it is indeed the problem. Most manufacturers describe cranking the engine at normal cranking speed and holding the end of the plug wire 1/16"-1/8" or so from the engine block and see if we have a spark.

Cyanoacrylate adhesives that are rated to temperatures up to 350º F with fast cure times are most commonly used. Fast cure times avoid the need for fixtures to hold the magnets in place while the bond cures.

  When requesting design assistance, information should establish adverse conditions to which the magnet may be subjected - for example unusual temperatures, humidity, radiation, demagnetizing fields produced by other parts of the magnetic circuit, etc.
