I can't vouch for adsbelow. The Mamiya 1000 DTL was an extremely popular camera around 1970. Just like its brother the Mamiya 500 DTL, the Mamiya 1000 DTL is sturdy and functional, and also happens to be the world's first camera with dual-pattern through-the-lens (TTL) metering.
A 1000 DTL with its original 50mm f/1.4 lens weighs 1,077g (2 lb. 6 oz.) and measures 150 x 94 x 100 mm (W x H x D). The Century's Greatest Developments in SLR Cameras! Mamiya Camera Co - Camera, October 1968
The 500 TL and 1000 TL were Mamiya's first 35mm SLRs with "TL," or "though-lens" metering. Today called TTL (through the lens) metering, this compensates for filters and gives the best results. Every SLR does this today. The 500 TL had a top shutter speed of 1/500, and the 1000 TL had a top speed of 1/1,000.
There are two ways of determining correct exposure with the Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL. Whether you use the- Spot or the Average system will depend upon the type of picture you are taking.
