What is spinal MANIPulation? Spinal MANIPulation is also called spinal MANIPulative therapy. It’s a technique where practitioners use their hands or a device to apply a controlled thrust (that is, a force of a specific magnitude or degree in a specific direction) to a joint of your spine.
Intensive CPM, orthosis or manual stretching protocols need to be instituted right after MANIPulation. The opportunity to examine the elbow under anesthesia before and after MANIPulation may be extremely useful in selected patients with underlying instability or other problems. MANIPulation under anaesthesia has been used for over a century.
Manual therapy, or MANIPulative therapy, is a physical treatment primarily used by physical therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists to treat musculoskeletal pain and disability; it mostly includes kneading and MANIPulation of muscles, joint mobilization and joint MANIPulation.
MANIPulation is the practice of using indirect tactics to control behavior, emotions, and relationships. Most people engage in periodic MANIPulation. For example, telling an acquaintance you feel “fine” when you are actually depressed is, technically, a form of MANIPulation because it controls your acquaintance’s perceptions of and reactions to you.
Knee MANIPulation is a procedure to treat knee stiffness and decreased range of motion. After trauma or knee surgery, scar tissue can form in your joint. The scar tissue does not allow you to fully bend or straighten your leg.
