iPhone volume all the way up. Mpc input switch set to line. Mpc input volume knob up. Mpc menu, SAMPLER. Mpc sampler input set to input 1&2. Mpc record enabled. Mpc sampler monitor button engaged to hear signal. If you are trying to record an audio track and not use sampler make sure record enable is pressed. Hope something here helps.
