The Nanchang CJ6 Empennage Cover is a complete, one-piece cover which covers both the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, as well as the tailboom. It is normally made from Solution-Dyed Polyester or Acrylic Sunbrella. The cover attaches with Velcro to the aft edge of the Extended Canopy Cover and with adjustable straps underneath the belly.

Feb 13, 2019 . For me the idea of putting a Russian radial in a Nanchang CJ-6 was compelling. The very first time I climbed into one in 1996 I had just flown a punchy Yak-52 with a similar all up weight but with the much more powerful 360hp Vedeneyev M14P engine. On the first takeoff in the ’Chang I aborted because I thought there was a partial power failure!

The Nanchang CJ-7 is a basig trainer of the Chinese Air Force, operational by more than four decades, Nanchang (Now Hongdu Aircraft Industry Group) reported that they are developing a replacement for the CJ-6 but nothing is confirmed yet.
The United States Navy defines a cruiser as a large multi-mission surface combatant with flagship capabilities; this suggests the U.S. expects the Type 055 to fulfill a similar role as the Ticonderoga -class cruiser. Nanchang is the lead ship of the class and laid down in December 2014 at the Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai.
