    No.F.49-42/2005-NCTE (N&S): Regulations laying down the procedure for grant of recognition together with norms and standards for various teacher training programmes were promulgated by the National Council for Teacher Education in consolidated form on November 13, 2002.

  • What are the provisions of NCTE for Study Centre?

    i)Study Centres shall be located in the NCTE recognised teacher education institutions offering regular M.Ed. programme. ii)Maximum number of students enrolled through a Study Centre shall not exceed 25 in a batch. iii)Field based dissertation shall be a compulsory component of the course.

    (1) An institution eligible under Regulation 4, desirous of running a teacher education programme may apply to the concerned Regional Committee of NCTE in the prescribed form in triplicate along with processing fee and requisite documents, for recognition. (2) The form can be downloaded from the Council’s website www.NCTE-india.org, free of cost.
