The Neonate needs to be admitted onto the monitor profile so that alarm limits are specific to age and weight. For Neonatal patient’s particular attention should be placed on the following aspects of assessment:
When a Neonate needs to be transferred between departments, appropriate measures to maintain their temperature need to be ensured. Consider utilising an ATOM infant warmer immediately post operatively for a stabilisation period (4-24 hours). This allows for frequent unwrapping for clinical assessments and decreases the incidence of heat loss.
Through brick walls and urban interference, as well as from garden to baby’s room, Neonate is ideal for both city- and countryside use. Neonate offers the longest transmit range available on today’s market, with up to 800m of range.
NicView™ is an innovative small camera system placed at a baby's bedside with parental consent. NicView is installed in designated bed spaces in the NICU which allows parents, family and friends to view their infant in real-time, 24/7, through a secure on-line portal.
The NICU staff and the hospital’s IT department receive training on the use of the NicView™ system and have the capability of turning the cameras on and off as needed. There is a hospital interface that allows staff to view each infant.
This technology has been designed for use in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) to enhance the parent-infant bonding experience and family-centered care, even when the parents cannot be at the baby’s bedside. Where are the cameras located? There are 10 cameras in NorthBay Medical Center’s NICU.
More than 90 medical centers in the United States have installed and are using NicView™ in their NICUs, but that number is growing as more hospitals hear about the system and see it as a valuable addition to their family-centered care programs.
