NETSuite does not allow usage of the Administrator role for connection to NETSuite from external integrations. Below are steps to create a custom integration role. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles > New Give the role a descriptive name and ID, making it clear to other users what the role is used for.
After successful authorization of the Application with NETSuite (NETSuite active session + Allow button clicked by user), a request is sent back to the Redirect URI set up in your Integration record. If the application was successfully authorized, a code parameter is sent.
Currently, NETSuite only offers the Authorization Code Grant flow to enable client-side applications to connect to NETSuite. This type of grant flow requires user interaction and therefore cannot be completely automated.
Redirect URI: A URI value that the token issuing endpoint (NETSuite back-end) will redirect to on a callback function with the response to your request for a token. The URI will receive the success response with the associated token values for use with authentication into NETSuite.
