NetComm NF17ACV appears to be the same as my Billion 8800AXL which works fine for ADSL2+ – NBN due by end of June (if I'm lucky) yes its vdsl ready and has ewan for other forms of NBN. however the 8800axl is end of life and will have no further support or fw from billion. the other issue if the 8800axl doesnt have voip and has quite poor wifi

the NF18ACV has only 1 usb port unlike the NF17ACV which has 2 usb ports the facial print on the NF18ACV has underlined sections and the LAN ports are labelled oppositely compared to the NF17ACV.

True, but the 17ACV is a bit of a monster for what it does. It's 23x20x7.5cm which seems to be larger than most other modems I've run into. Possibly because a lot of the interior is used for antenna space – at a guess.

It is important to know that NetComm Wireless has no control over the network you use, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for initial assistance. If they confirm that the network and configuration of your product is as expected for your needs they will normally progress the issue with us.
The NetComm NF10WV VDSL modem router is a new model often used as an ISPs OEM modem. It is a nice modem in some ways, it is compact, cheap and runs very cool and efficiently. Downside is only has 100/10 network ports.
