Oartec DX – First Impressions – Rowing Analytics

Apr 02, 2018 . The OARTEC DX has done something clever with the seat. On the C2 Dynamic, there is a short shock cord to constrain the seat movement. On the Concept2 slides, there is a set of thin shock cords that keep provide a bit of centering force for the erg. On the OARTEC DX, they actually use a gently curved track.

Rational Fitness: Product Review: Oartec Slider

May 01, 2011 . The OARTEC is a very well constructed machine, solid, easy to assemble. It uses the same type of flywheel as the concept 2 and is reportedly calibrated the same as the concept 2, so theoretically 500m rowed on the OARTEC would equal 500m on the static Concept 2. I say theoretically because I think they are actually a bit different.

Oartec DX - Anyone have experience? : Rowing

OARTEC DX - Anyone have experience? Hi, I'm looking to get my first erg for general fitness/cardio. I've never really rowed before (on or off the water) and trying to decide between the classic C2 Model D (~$1550 AUD) and the newly released OARTEC DX (~$2400 AUD). I've used a C2 for about 10mins at a gym and found it a little boring.

Oartec DX vs RP3 : Rowing

OARTEC is half the price of the RP3 and there’s a review out there that says that regardless of price, the OARTEC best replicates the on water feel. They also calibrate their machine to C2’s data set and you can even fit a PM5 on there with no modification. The RP3 has accurate data and performance monitoring, but is missing the C2 ...

Oartec DX : Rowing

The RP3's tablet gives much more feedback than does the DX's rather simple monitor. I chose the OARTEC because it was half the price (I live in New Jersey, USA. Prices in the UK probably differ). Also, OARTEC is about to start beta testing a new monitor. That will have real-time force curves, stoke time and length, etc.
