Ocean Way Audio’s accurate and expansive monitoring systems are equally impressive in every room. We first listened to Allen Sides’ new monitor systems over at the Ocean Way showroom and were so impressed, we set them up at my studios alongside my existing monitors and they just blew us away.
The Ocean Way Studios plug-in provides for a number of dispersion patterns ("Sources") for Studios A & B based on the type of instrument being sent to the reverb (drums, strings, piano, etc., along with three guitar cabinets). These are merely suggestions, and there's no reason you can't send a vocal to the piano source, for instance.
Ocean Way Studios offers two modes of operation: Reverb mode, using send/return paths to mix wet and dry signals; or Re-Mic mode, to fully immerse the original source audio within Ocean Way’s rooms.

Until the creation of this unique Ocean Way technology this was simply not possible. This is achieved through the use of our patented twin constant directivity HF and Low band horns and their unique driving elements.
The tremendous horizontal dispersion of the HR5 is based on the design of the speakers at Ocean Way Recording, which utilized this same 100 degree design in every one of the various studios’ 18 controls rooms, and is the hallmark of the famous Ocean Way sound. Until the creation of this unique Ocean Way technology this was simply not possible.
