Each procedure may or may not be applicable to your specific operation. You are encouraged to implement the sections and steps that help achieve your company’s specific goals. None of the guidelines are intended as a mandate.
The first version of the OCS was released in March 2018. The OCS 3.0 revision process began in 2019, and the updated standard was published on March 1, 2020. You can read more about our revision process in the Development Hub.
A professional, third party certification body audits each stage in the supply chain. Products that meet all requirements may be labelled with the OCS logo. The OCS is managed with the input of producers, suppliers, and brands and retailers from all parts of the globe.
