AFAIK, the Okki Nokki has been discontinued. A reliable source has said to me, that as for the VPI 16.5 RCM, the newest models are using a newer exact same model number version of the Ametek-Lamb Rotary Vacuum Motor, and that vacuum motor is a much cheaper built, and much lighter weight motor, and now comes from China.

Anyway much dirt was collected in and around the sensor what caused activation of the relais. After cleaning it worked again, so nice. I disconnected the sensor from the relais to see if the Okki Nokki would become operational, and it did. This is how I use it now to prevent pollution shutting the Okki Nokki down again.

Having recently invested in a TT to resurrect my 30-year-old vinyl collection I am considering investing in an RCM and the Okki Nokki seems highly regarded. I am just baulking at paying over £400 (I know the sonic ones are over £1k) for something to clean records so it's going to have to be pretty outstanding for me to buy it.

Rhodes54 edited over 14 years ago I've bought a record cleaning machine recently, called the Cadence 'Okki Nokki' (what a name LOL). As it was expensive (350€) i've been doubting for a year before I took the decision to buy it. Though, it turned out to …

I was set to get the Project but saw Okki Nokki had a couple of new machines out. Anyone seen/used/own the ONE? Bit dearer at £500 than the Project which seems to go for around £400. ONE and GO! Dunno how much the smaller GO! costs. https://www.okkinokki.com/ https://www.audioemotion.co.uk/okki-nokki-one-record-cleaning-machine-1859-p.asp

It's what I started with 18 years ago. I currently use a Cadence Okki Nokki and use L'Art du Son fluid. I would never spend £2000 on a record cleaning machine whether I saved up for it or not. So those options are out of the question. D. daytona600 Well-known member. Oct 5, 2012 394 214 19,270.

Mar 28, 2011 . It’s certainly priced right at £395 – we don’t know of a cheaper alternative that has built-in vacuuming capabilities and the ability to spin in both directions. Not only that, but it comes complete with concentrated cleaning fluid and a goat’s-hair brush. The name, incidentally, is Dutch for ‘thumbs-up’. Float on.

I also upgraded from a Knosti and found it so much better I now can't find the Knosti, I offered to lend it to a friend the other day as I know I still have it, I stored it away when I got the Okki Nokki and now can't find it, that's how much I missed the Knosti.

Okki Nokki says the MK II’s motor is fairly quiet, and it may be compared to other record cleaning machines, but you shouldn’t expect it to sound soft while it’s in use. The company says the motor it uses is designed to work for hours at a time without overheating, which is a good sign. We’ve only tested it with fairly small batches of LPs.
With fresh cleaning solution at the ready, place a record onto the Okki Nokki platter, clamping it down with the included aluminum record clamp. After flicking on the switch for clockwise rotation, about a tablespoon of cleaning solution should be dribbled onto the record.
