The Olec 1 course can be completed at our training centre or a venue of your choice. The Olec 1 course consists of a briefing from an experienced trainer and an eLearning module, followed by either a computer-based test or written assessment (for on-site venues).
This module is designed to familiarise persons who are new to OLE Engineering and whose work may involve or interact with OLE construction activities. It is designed to develop a person's knowledge and understanding as defined in module Olec 1 of Network Rail specification NR/L2/CTM/028 Competence and Training in OLE Construction Engineering
We recommend you read up on Handbook 16 prior to attending your Olec 1 course, you get 1 attempt at your final assessment, you need to achieve 80%. The pass rate at the centre for the Olec 1 course is 99% and if you don't pass the first time you can attend another test free of charge!
Olec 2: Undertake Basic OLE Construction Activities under Direction. Olec 3: Construct, Renew, Enhance and Modify OLE in accordance with Design Drawings and Specifications. Olec 4: Control and Supervise OLE Construction, Renewal, Enhancement and Modification Activities in line with Specifications.

Manual: There is the function that the user can use anytime. When user selects this function, the engine receives the OPC cleaning command from the main system, and then performs the cleaning processing. There are two methods to clean the OPC. One is the minus clean mode, and the other is the plus clean mode.
Perform the OPC Cleaning Mode Print 2 or 3 times. Run Self-Test to remove the contamination from the transfer roller. Note. Replace the transfer roller if contaminated severely. 2. Disassemble the fuser and clean the H/R(Heat Roller) and P/R(Pressure roller). Check and clean the area between the H/R and the Thermistor.
