The Ollie is a jump. THE POP Now get on your board. Foot placement is basic, just have your back foot on the tail and your front foot straight in the middle or closer to the nose. Try to jump off your back foot like you did on the ground. COMMIT TO THIS. Your tail should snap and you may even notice it pops up a little bit.

The other thing I avoided was using three fingers to ollie. Basically, put your pointer finger behind the trucks, your middle finger in the middle of the board, and your ring finger on the tail. It is way easier to control the board and level it out/keep it from flipping when ollying this way.

When setting up for an ollie, your back foot should be centered on the tail of the board. Your heel should be hanging off the back corner. Make sure you’re back foot is perpendicular to the board. In other words, your toes should be pointing straight out. Your front foot should be in the middle of the board, about 2 inches away from the bolts.
