Just saw the Kickstarter for OMB Guitars and a couple of things stand out. Apparently it can only do fretted MIDI notes - no open string MIDI triggers. And, if you look at the picture, it appears that have the strings going through insulating tubing to isolate them more from the bridge. Seems that would not only mute the strings but raise the action.
