OMB can be used at home for practicing, live shows and everything in-between. Beginners and professional guitarists can add the add-on DIY kit to most electric or steel string acoustic guitars or order a custom OMB guitar that has OMB technology pre-installed (”OMB inside”).
Just saw the Kickstarter for OMB Guitars and a couple of things stand out. Apparently it can only do fretted MIDI notes - no open string MIDI triggers. And, if you look at the picture, it appears that have the strings going through insulating tubing to isolate them more from the bridge.
