• What should I look for when choosing a rope?

  ⦁ The diameter – the diameter of the rope is very important. You do not want a small diameter rope, as it can lead to injuries such as skin burns, circulatiOn problems, bruises or even scars. By small diameter, I mean anything below 5mm.

• How many types of knots are there in a rope?

• How do you tie someone up with check ropes?

  "For a super simple way to start, use One or two lOng ropes, perhaps 25 to 30 feet. Then tie their wrists together behind their back. Use the remaining rope and wrap that around the arms and body. First below the breasts or pecs, then over it. If you cOnnect the check ropes between the arm and torso, you’ll be able to snug it down tightly."

• How do you splice rope?

  Soaking the sectiOn of used rope to be spliced in water will loosen and lubricate the fibers and make the splice easier to perform. Through use and exposure to the elements, the fibers in a used rope have probably lost some of their original strength. In additiOn, some shrinkage has probably occurred making this splice the most dicult to perform.

• How do you make a single braid splice?

Put a single wrap of tape at the bitter end (A fid length equals 21 times the diameter of the rope or 7 times the circumference.) Step #2 Form the desired eye size and mark the point opposite “A”.
