An Onsen towel isn’t very big. At approximately 80 x 35cm (30 x 15 inch) they are just big enough to cover your embarrassment. Take one with you or rent one while you are there. I take two. One that gets wet from steam in the bathing area and one that stays dry in the changing room. Use it while you walk around if you feel shy about your nudity.
