  • How do I install the PacBrake?

    Insert both wires of the Pacbrake 'through head harness' through the grommet from the outside. NOTE: In trucks with limited access at the rear of the cylinder head, it may be easier to slide the grommet out of the head. 3 5 Installation¤

  • How do I check the back pressure on my PacBrake?

    Every Pacbrake exhaust brake has a 1/8" NPT port tapped into the side of the exhaust brake housing. It has a port plug threaded into it from the factory. Remove the plug and install a back pressure gauge to this port. Go for a test drive and observe the backpressure readings. My exhaust brake comes on at idle.

  • How often should I Lube my PacBrake?

    If it is switched off the brake will go through an "exercise cycle" which activates the brake 3x at startup. This is to ensure it does not stick or seize up with inactive use. Also, it is recommended to apply a few drops of Pacbrake Super Lube to all pivot points every 3-6 months.

  • What is technical troubleshooting in support?

    Troubleshooting in support is 50% human fixes and 50% machine fixes. Fortunately, troubleshooting is like any other customer support skill — by breaking it down to a repeatable process and through practice, anyone can improve their troubleshooting ability.
