The company was half owned by Chinese-owned BAIC International (Hong Kong) and half owned by New Zealand shareholders of Pacific Aerospace Group. The liquidators report said the company had operated for more 70 years as an aircraft design, manufacturing and maintenance business and employed 93 staff.
A number have also been used by the Royal Thai Air Force. The initial CT/4A and CT/4B models used the 210 hp Continental IO-360 engine while the later CT/4E used the 300 hp Lycoming AEIO-540 engine.
