So Paclite is a 20% duty cycle product, it's not a 100% duty cycle product. That means if your trip is 60 hours long, you shouldn't be wearing your Paclite shell for more than 12 of those hours. Whereas you could wear a 3L Gore-Tex Pro shell for all 60. The above is kind of a literal example, and the absolute values are speculative.

Unlike the other 2-layer constructions by Gore-Tex, the Paclite technology was made with hikers, cyclists and runners in mind, primarily. However, this is a very versatile fabric that works great for a variety of other activities as well, such as running errands or for casual wear in bad and unpredictable weather.
For me, the Paclite jacket is perfect for all my hiking needs. The lightweight design makes it comfy to wear and also easier to fit into my rucksack. Most importantly, it’s both waterproof and windproof so ideal for my hiking expeditions in the UK and around the world.

These are old style jackets that have a separate inner liner that's not laminated to the other two layers. You don't see these that often anymore, they're more reminiscent of the 90s style Gore jackets. Overall, Pro 3L is the most technical and advanced Gore-tex membrane.

Paclite is sort of a 2.5 layer Gore-tex. It has the outer face fabric, the middle waterproof membrane (the same membrane as C-knit) but the inner liner is a spray on polyurethane coating. It's not very breathable and not that durable.
GORE-TEX® Pro has a sparsely woven nylon backer that is twice as durable as traditional tricot liners and allows moisture vapour to pass quickly through to the GORE-TEX® membrane. 100% nylon / 3.9oz/yd2 , 142g/m2 A light weight and soft feeling textile.
