How Pact works Pact Docs

See this guide for contract testing best practices. Pact tests should be data independent. Pact tests are best when successful verification doesn’t depend on the specific data that the provider returns. See this guide for best practices when describing interactions. Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who can access the pact dataset?

Appropriate Ministry IT staff can access the Pact dataset. Their role is to support users, investigate reported issues, and maintain the system. Researchers may request to use data from Pact. All identifying information about the school and students will be removed from data used for research purposes.

  • How does Pact work?

Pact automatically imports student data from ENROL. When students move schools, any data they have in Pact is available to their current school and is no longer visible to their previous school. The information from Pact reports helps guide your decisions about teaching programmes.

  • What file type is used to install Pact?

An executable file (.exe) is provided to facilitate installation of the tool. FEMA P-58, Volume 2, Appendix C presents a User Manual for Pact.

  • How do I write a pact test?

The first step in writing a Pact test is to describe this interaction. Consumer Pact tests operate on each interaction described earlier to say "assuming the provider returns the expected response for this request, does the consumer code correctly generate the request and handle the expected response?".

  • What is the use of the pact tool?

Pact provides a user-friendly platform for scenario-based, intensity-based, and time-based loss calculations. It can accommodate results obtained from nonlinear response history analyses as well as simplified analyses. Pact provides three basic but integrated functions:

  • What is the PACT programming language?

The Pact programming language comes from one of its key features, known as “Pacts”. “Pacts” solve a significant blockchain problem in privacy-preserving blockchains. To maintain privacy on a blockchain, participants can only run a subset of smart contracts. In these cases, the databases of each of the participants become disjointed.

  • What is the warranty on my Pact scale?

Your Pact Scale is manufactured by Pact here at our factory in Texas and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. With the exception of the load cell, if your scale breaks we’ll fix it for free. If you break the load cell we’ll fix it for cost. Please understand that this scale is physically very fragile.

  • What are the core elements of a pact smart contract?

Pact resembles a general-purpose, Turing-complete language. It includes LISP-like syntax, user functions, modules, and imperative style. Pact smart contracts contain three core elements: the code module, keysets, and tables. The table below briefly introduces each of these core elements. A module defines the logic of a smart contract.
