The Pakayak Bluefin Kayak, 14-Feet is smartly designed to look and function like a typical hardshell kayak, but it breaks down and packs into a bag that can easily fit in your trunk. If that benefit isn't enough, a portion of proceeds are donated to causes protecting sea creatures and the kayak is made in the USA.
Pakayak recommends paddlers assemble the bow and stern ends vertically, then lay the two halves down for the final cockpit connections. It works like a charm—my first attempt takes about six minutes, with a bit more practice I’m snapping it together in three.
Pakayak boats are totally leak-proof, and more than up to the task of an eskimo roll in Hoboken, NJ (Manhattan is in the background).

What that means for you is that your Pakayak will perform and paddle just like a high end traditional kayak. There’s no need to compromise. To ensure the strength and watertightness of the Pakayak, we use a design that has been successfully used in a huge variety of industries from scuba to aerospace.
Weighing just 55 pounds, the Pakayak is very light for a kayak and pretty damn heavy for a back pack.
Sections are held together using ¾ of a ton of holding force on silicone gaskets in the tongue and groove style connections to create a watertight seal. Made in USA. Our patented design based on the bluefin tuna, one of the fastest fish in the sea, creates a fast sleek performance kayak.
