I get the impression that the skin on an Ally is more tight than on a Pakcanoe and that an Ally is less flexible which would both affect the way it handles.

Jun 21, 2007 . Last night the note went to Mauritzon to get pricing info. I couldn't find the 10oz Coverene in the online listings and they don't give prices anyway. I did get some Coverlight locally (Rochester, NY) to make dry bags last year but understand that online is much cheaper. So far the only online source that I have found for the sponsons is Folbot.

The canoe will absorb severe impact and usually slide over or by rocks with no damage where fiberglass, kevlar, or aluminum canoes crack or get hung up. In this respect, the PakCanoe behaves much like ABS boats weighing 20 – 30 lbs more.
