The Pakon Scanner runs off Windows XP. If you have a newer computer or MAC you would have to set it but so It runs Windows XP in the background as a virtual machine. There is a FaceBook user group that is very helpful with this kind of set up.

The JVA Electric Fence Fault Finder® makes finding shorts on electric fence as simple as following an arrow. It is also known as an Electric Fence Power Probe ®. Designed and Manufactured in Australia by the inventors and original manufacturer Pakton Technologies.
A Kilovolt is 1000 volts. Most farmers use a voltmeter to check the fence. The fence voltage, measured in Kilovolts, needs to be above about 3.5kV to be effective.
