Since 01/01/2010, all newly produced EPAL Euro Pallets are heat treated in accordance with ISPM 15. EPAL Euro Pallets treated according to ISPM 15 can be recognised by the branded markings on both central blocks on the long sides. It is prohibited to treat EPAL Euro Pallets with methyl bromide (MB).
All nails used to construct EPAL Euro Pallets bear a head marking comprising two letters. Only those nails that have been approved by EPAL, and which have additionally been verified by a neutral testing institute, may be used to assemble EPAL Euro Pallets.
Often appearing good-as-new, Premium A Pallets — also known as 1A or food-grade Pallets — are ideal for products being delivered and displayed for grocery store customers.
Specifications for GMA Pallets include elements like size, load-bearing capacity, transportability, and board configuration. Standard GMA Pallets specifications include: An overall footprint of 40″ by 48″. A minimum load-bearing capacity of 2,500 pounds.
Within these grades, Pallets are often subdivided into smaller grade categories for more comprehensive evaluation. GMA’s standard A and B grades, as well as any subdivisions, are based on features such as general appearance, structural integrity, compliance with GMA specifications and the extent of any repairs performed.
