Pallas is farther from Earth and has a much lower albedo than Vesta, and hence is dimmer as seen from Earth. Indeed, the much smaller asteroid 7 Iris marginally exceeds Pallas in mean opposition magnitude.

There is much more information on Athena, so most of the qualities of the asteroid Pallas are related to her, rather than the Titan god Pallas. Athena killed Pallas in battle; some believe that she took on some of his qualities, thus the asteroid Pallas represents a mix of both, but is Athenian in nature.

As of 2019, there are 42 Pallas’s cats in 18 accredited AZA zoos that participate in the SSP (Species Survival Program) [13]. Unlike other cats, Pallas’s cats pose some unique challenges to keep and propagate in captivity.
Pallas’s cats do breed readily in captivity but suffer from high mortality rates because they often succumb to disease and infections. In fact, they have the highest percentage of 30 day mortality of any small cat, which is almost 45% [4].
The most notable addition to Pallas' kit is the new [Vigor] named effect, that increases the ATK of allies over a certain HP threshold. One of the biggest complaints of existing support guards is that the amount of support they are able to provide their allies is not enough to offset their own reduced performance output.
Pallas's cat can reach 18 to 26 inches in length and 5.5 to 10 pounds of weight. Tail is usually 8.3 to 12.2 inches long. Color of the fur depends on the season. Pallas's cat is covered with silver grey coat during the winter and grey-reddish fur during the summer.
Principal Threats: The two primary threats concerning the Pallas’s cat are the hunting of the cat for its fur, and the poisoning of its primary food source.
The length and density of their fur also changes seasonally, growing longer and heavier in the winter. Pallas' cats go through two major color phases. In the winter, their coats are grayer and more uniform in color, while in the summer they have more stripes and ochre colors in their fur.
Captive Pallas’s cats have lived up to 11.5 years. Size and Appearance: This small cat weighs in between 5 – 9 lb. with a head and body length of 19.5 – 25.5 in. and a tail length of 8 – 12 in. Its coat varies in color from light gray to yellowish buff to russet.
