If you have heard bagpipes, you know that they have a constant drone that underlies the melody. Drones do not function as harmony, nor do they contribute to the melody. Therefore, a solo bagpiper can still be monophonic, even though the drone sounds may be of definite pitch.
This means that they do not produce steady, measurable frequencies, and as such, they cannot play melody or harmony. Therefore, you can have a drum and a singer and still have monophonic texture. A good example of this kind of monophony is in the song 'Just Give Me A Reason' by Pink and Nate Ruess.
Unlike pianos, guitars, and human voices, drums are instruments of indefinite pitch. This means that they do not produce steady, measurable frequencies, and as such, they cannot play melody or harmony. Therefore, you can have a drum and a singer and still have monophonic texture.

Panphonics loudspeakers are based on the electrostatic princible and use an audio element invented by the renowned Finnish inventor, Kari Kirjavainen.
With our directional audio solutions, you have an alternative for headphones that otherwise require near-constant cleaning. It not only saves time, but also decreases unnecessary risk. What you get when you choose Panphonics is a clear, focused sound field that remains audible even over longer distances.
”At the beginning, the design of the exhibition already had 2 Panphonics 60×60 for a couple of pieces that were close by and we did not want them to acoustically contaminate each other.
