Pangolins may be kept in captivity temporarily, such as for the veterinary care of injured wild animals, or the quarantine, health assessment and rehabilitation of confiscated Pangolins prior to release back to the wild; or over the long term, such as for inclusion in an ex situ conservation breeding program or in a zoological institution.
If you’ve never heard of the Pangolin, you’re not alone. This shy creature, as big as your cat or dog, is the world’s most trafficked mammal -- with more than one million Pangolins poached in the past decade. Tens of thousands of Pangolins are poached every year, killed for their scales for use in traditional Chinese medicine and for their meat, a delicacy among some ultra-wealthy in China and Vietnam. There are eight species of Pangolins.

They use their sharp claws to dig into ant and termite burrows, and their long, sticky tongues help them to access their favourite foods.
Crassula 'Pangolin' is an attractive, slow-growing, and very rare succulent named after the Pangolin, animal ant and termite eater covered in tough, overlapping scales. The leaves of this plant and their position look similar to this weird looking creature. The shoots can grow up to 2 inches (5 cm) wide.
Best propagated by offsets, cuttings or seeds. Crassula Muscosa succulents need strong light. When planting this succulent type in a garden, make sure it gets sunlight. Full to partial sun is the best for its growth. It is better to grow outdoor rather than indoor. This type of succulent prefers a warm climate.
Growing Tips. Soil: Crassula plants need very well draining soil, but they are not particular about soil pH. Sandy or even rocky soil is fine. Water: As succulents, they don't need frequent watering, since they store it in their leaves. If they are left to sit in wet soil, their roots will rot.
Crassula Succulent Crassula is a genus of succulent plants that includes more than 350 species native to many different parts of the world. Crassula species vary in sizes, some are short ground covers, some are trailing plants ideal for hanging baskets while some living in warm climates can grow into 6-foot shrubs.
