The TG1682G supports the following battery models: Basic backup battery: provides up to 4 hours of backup time, depending on your Telephony Gateway model and usage. It may be light gray or black. Basic Backup Battery (Gray) Basic Backup Battery (Black)
Connecting the Telephony Gateway to existing telephone wiring should only be performed by a professional installer. Physical connections to the previous telephone provider must be removed and the wiring must be checked; there must not be any voltages. Cancelation of telephone service is not adequate.
