Uses of Electroscope. An electroscope can be used to: Detect the presence of ionizing radiation or electric charge on a body. Identify and compare the magnitude of charges. Calculate the force between two charges Detect the nature and relative amount of charges.
To charge by conduction: Bring a charged rod close to, then touch, the electroscope. As the rod nears the electroscope, the free electrons in the electroscope are either attracted to or repelled by the charged rod (in- duction).
Each model of Electroscope comes with an instructional DVD! Manufacturer's warranty on Electroscopes is a two-year comprehensive warranty covering the entire machine; internal evasion of the equipment voids the warranty.
